L.A. Confidential (1997)

Curtis Hanson’s L.A. Confidential is an ideal movie on crime, lust & corruption.

This movie has skillfully created the atmosphere of 1950’s Los Angeles with a nearly perfect soundtrack.

Just for the ones who have not yet seen, the story follows the time line of ’50s and shows us the story from the stance of three protagonists who used to work for the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department). Shortly they all get caught up in an investigation of multiple homicide case. The movie follows how each of these character deals with the state of affairs. Soon their finding leads them to a murky revelation of corruption which proves to be a deadly game of life and death.

Though the story in the present day might look alike with quite a few movies in the recent times, I think every one will find this movie far intriguing than the regular out of mill junks coming out to give us predictable cheap thrill.

Apart from the story, the cast chosen for this movie was just awe-inspiring. To name a few, Kevin Spacey, Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, Kim Basinger. Every one of them has given a brilliant performance.

L.A. Confidential can boast with its captivating screenplay and cinematography. This movie has enough twist to make your grey cells burn out…..well joking... :)

It will be very hard to believe if some one finds this movie less engaging.

Will you not all agree with me.... "Rollo Tomasi" ...:)

My Rating : 9/10
